Midwest Education Technology Conference 2012

The Midwest Education Technology Conference is just a month away! The annual conference takes place at the St. Charles Convention Center February 14-15, with preconference workshops all around St. Louis on Monday, February 13th! There are several strands at METC with different content focuses, including the Library & Media Literacy strand. METC’s Featured Speaker for this strand is Kathy Schrock. To learn more about Kathy, and all the other speakers and sessions at METC, visit http://METCconference.org. There, you’ll find that you can search by speaker, session, or topic. There is a grid on the website listing when all the sessions will take place, and it links back to more detailed descriptions.

If you are unable to make it to the convention center for the conference with the anticipated 1,400+ attendees from all over the United States, many of the Featured Speakers- and Keynote presenters- will be streamed and later archived online in our Virtual Conference. METC’s Virtual Conference is absolutely free, and we encourage you to watch what you can. In addition, you can follow the METC conversation on Twitter by looking for the hashtags #METC and #METC12. The METC Twitter handle is @METC_CSD. Photos from METC will be posted in a Flickr pool you can see here: http://www.flickr.com/groups/metc12.

METC is a program of the Virtual Learning Center of Cooperating School Districts of Greater St. Louis. To learn more about CSD, visit www.csd.org.
